This tour leads through the realm of the pallid mountains of Castelrotto passing through the Val Gardena up to the Passo Sella (2240 m) across the Passo Pordoi (2239 m) and the Passo Falzarego (2111 m) to the Olympia town Cortina. The way back passes by the Lake of Misurina with view to the mountains of Tre Cime di Lavaredo traversing the Val Pusteria across the towns of Brunico, Bressanone and Chiusa and returning to the area of the Sciliar.

Since 2001 the Gardens of Castle Trauttmansdorff, located at the sunny slope above Merano, show its exposition of plants flourishing all over the world. Merano is a world famous health resort once chosen by the empress Sissi as winter health resort. A promenade still remembers Sissi’s walks. Come to discover the medieval centre, the centuries old arbors and go for a walk along the Tappeiner Way.
