    Excursions around the Hotel Castel

An eventful journey in touch with the pleasure.

Driving under a blue sky with the wind blowing around, passing by idyllic mountain villages, where chairs and tables invite you to have a rest and to taste some exquisite traditional “krapfen” or good solid bacon dumplings.

Enjoy a quick “gelato” in a mountain café or a “latte macchiato” during a side-trip at the Lake Garda.

We recommend some eventful routes in and around South Tyrol, which are an unforgettable experience.

Since 2001 the Gardens of Castle Trauttmansdorff, located at the sunny slope above Merano, show its exposition of plants flourishing all over the world. Merano is a world famous health resort once chosen by the empress Sissi as winter health resort. A promenade still remembers Sissi’s walks. Come to discover the medieval centre, the centuries old arbors and go for a walk along the Tappeiner Way.
