In winter the Hotel Castel is located in the middle of a white winter fairy tale, which invites you to quiet winter hiking. In cooperation with sport shop Fill, our guests receive 20% on rented skis. The ski cellar with a ski boot heater is also available in our hotel.
With our free shuttle service, we are happy to bring you to the gondola in just 5 minutes by car. In this way you can quickly reach the unique Alpe di Siusi, which stands for sunny and gentle winter enjoyment. It is one of the two popular winter sports areas, next to the famous Val Gardena with its steep slopes and beautiful views.
The winter paradise of Alpe di Siusi / Val Gardena offers a wide network of slopes (175 km), cross-country skiing trails (80 km) and well-groomed winter hiking trails (60 km) framed by bizarre dolomite rocks. A total of 80 highly modern lifts and well-groomed slopes of all levels of difficulty lead across the Alpe di Siusi / Val Gardena ski area.
Anyone who enjoys tobogganing can choose a different one of the 10 natural toboggan runs with a length of 23 km around and on the Alpe di Siusi every day. The sledge required for this can of course be borrowed and the use of the toboggan runs is free.

From Sunday to Friday we offer our guests a varied winter activity program with professionally trained ski instructors and snowshoe guides free of charge. In guided ski safaris you have the opportunity to get to know new ski areas safely and carefree. The classic guided program items include the Alpe di Siusi-Val Gardena ski tour, the Sellaronda and Alta Badia.
Breathe in the air of adventure and experience the untouched "wild" winter landscape intensely, that's the motto when snowshoeing. Here, too, we offer our guests the opportunity to participate free of charge several times a week. With simple equipment you can get to unique places that would otherwise be closed to us.
To be able to do everything but not have to - that is a real vacation.
